I don't have the info in front of me, but I believe the builders number we have for the smaller Davenport at Cedar Point does come back to a standard gauge locomotive. We never had builders plates, but I believe it's stamped or cast on the locomotive somewhere. We always believed that it was cut down. You can tell things were done to make it work. Pieces welded in, extra weight added, the smoke box is full of cement to seal the box, blast pipe and saddle. Oh and a ball valve throttle. There is also what looks to be an extra place for brake hangers. We affectionatly call it the Davenmonster, but we do run it occasionally as a back up.
