It seems this is still far into the planning process and that the City hasn't brought this up to the D&SNG at all yet but they are planning on building a T shaped pedestrian bridge over 32nd street to connect the Animas River Trail to the new extension at Bennet Street where the 32nd Street Grade Crossing is. These Artist renditions look extremely freelanced, almost as if they didn't even notice the D&S crosses the road there. The article does mention "over the railroad tracks" a few times and that the state "
won't allow the City to have a pedestrian grade crossing" but I don't think the people in charge of making this happen are using their heads to solve this issue.
