It was the rock in the cut that clued me, that weird volcanic breccia conglomerate rock that abounds in the Phantom Curve area.

It also looked like typical funky C&TS track before is got ballasted and lined. Lots of recent ties though. Track was solid. The level and line were OK for the 10-12 mph we did through there.
