I'd expect that if the NGDF software were going to be censoring any posts by chopping them off it would be mine.  Well, actually even more likely, my friend Willie's — but I have never experienced the problem you are describing and SFAIK Willie has never complained about it either.  My biggest – and pretty much only – complaint is that the Search Engine does not accept ANY special characters — not even numbers.  Trying to search for "RGS 20" will find you exactly nothing . . .

I wonder if your software has anything to do with the problem.  I'm using Firefox on an old Windoze Seven platform and so far all is well.
