Olaf,
You stated that 497 left Alamosa for the last time on Oct. 17, 1967.
She was running between Durango and Chama after that, including a run on Dec 5, 1967.

Was she in Durango after the 1969 abandonment?
The D&RGW could not use her on the Silverton Branch. The track was not upgraded for k-36 and k-37 loco's until The D&S took over in 1981.

Was she kept in the Durango roundhouse until the D&S restored her?
