488 and caboose in the snow 55 years ago

Roger's timeless videos of 488 climbing Cumbres on a caboose hop in the snow brought back memories of a similar scene on February 1, 1964. Back then 488 was shoving hard on a train of GRAMPS oil tankers, lumber and empty pipe flats, but otherwise that scene is amazingly replicated by Roger's caboose hop, nearly 56 years later. And to make the connection to recent posts about VW beetles - I was a happy passenger in Frank Barry's VW after jumping off the train above Dalton.
