I have a photo that I believe shows the EBT's snowplow in action. Unfortunately, it's in a format that I cannot post here, and I have no idea how to change it to an acceptable format.
The EBT snowplow still exists, stored under cover in the railroad's lumber shed behind the Rockhill shops. It is quite primitive, just a steel frame covered with planking and sheet metal. It comes to a very sharp point, and there are several steel rods attached to it in various places. There are also steel shoes that apparently rode on top of the rails. My theory is that it was somehow supported by the coupler of a flatcar, and there was a long wooden lever (visible in the photo) that was designed to manually raise the plow to clear crossings and switches.
The photo, that was passed along to me, taken at Pogue near the high bridge, shows part of the plow (the rest is obscured by a telephone box). Behind the plow is a flatcar with a number of men standing on it, and behind it is a coach. The entire assembly is being pushed by one of the EBT Mikes running in reverse.
If someone out there knows how to convert this photo to a suitable format, I'd be glad to share it. Just let me know.
