A few of those curves could use some superelevation.
George,
I read somewhere that the D&RG(W) took the Cant off their curves at some time after the Passenger was chopped, maybe on Cerro ? I can't say I seen a Mine tram or logging line with Cant on the curves either, however I do have most likely the world's only super-elevated, curved stub Switch at Creekside Jct. It is needed there on a 12ft rad curve at the foot of the 1:18 gradient which until the completion of my Mancha, any loads were coasted down.
Greg,
I harvest for my own heating needs but do give some away each year to an elderly friend in the village, I have sold some excess in the past, to my regret. Currently the emphasis is on clearing any possible blowdowns that could hit a building and getting ahead a dozen Winters worth before I pack up completely. Saws are a 57cc Solo w/20" bar and a mains electric 2000w Makita for the 12" or less cut up in the shed, avoids the fumes, noise and repeated pull-starting.
Until I was 14, I was usually on one end of Dad's 6ft crosscut, used to take us a couple of days to section out a blowdown, after another 5ft dia Gum fell days after clearing the cowrace he went and got me a Homelite XL12 w/22" bar, I still have that in working order, my nephew is using it to log his Pine forest.
