Flanger OT is owned by the Durango Railroad Historical Society. When it was restored a couple of years ago several tons of iron scrap and iron pigs were removed then the wooden floor was replaced. Once the car was structurally sound all the iron ballast was reinstalled and the upper wood deck was replaced. The air piping to raise and lower the blade was missing so the piping was replaced. The car was painted and lettered. History Colorado provided a grant for part of the restoration work performed on the car.
We did not put a few of the blind driver brake shoes we found as ballast back into the car. Those brake shoes will likely end up on 315.
