Thanks John. When I was a kid, my aunt lived near the Missouri Pacific roundhouse in Monroe, Louisiana. I would watch from near the tracks as a real variety of MP steam power and early diesels such as FTs and BL2s ran by. One day a MP supervisor saw me and asked if I wanted a tour. The sights, smells, and sounds of that day are still with me years later. Around the same time I went to the Arkansas & Louisiana Missouri short line roundhouse in Monroe. They had acquired three SW1200s but still had one of their 4-6-0s (they had three acquired from Baldwin when the US put an embargo on Mexico due to Poncho Via.).. They kept one due to spring flooding that kept the diesels from running thru the flood waters. They still had a turntable and the roundhouse also had that feel even though it was a steel building
