Does anyone know of any existing former White Pass & Yukon semi-tractor units remaining in a White Pass paint scheme?
The Yukon Transportation Museum has a flatbed semi-trailer. Based on old photos and anecdotal documents, I believe it was custom built by Kenworth in 1969 for the original 19-foot (30-ton capacity) ore containers. It bears the arc welded number “353” and the painted number “53300.” This container secured the original ore container with a large strap, which explains the peculiar structure of its sides.
But, I don’t know of any existing White Pass semi-tractor units.
