John, I should have added that you can find these artifacts at steam tractor shows
as well as railroad flea markets and of course, eBay.

My suggestion to you would be to look at or inquire as to the condition of the valve, if so equipped.
Most of these whistles are adjustable as to height of the bell which, of course, affects the tone.
