This reminds me of a conversation I had over 40 years ago with Robert Richardson, founder of the Colorado RR Museum. I went with Bob to the first rotary run on the C&TS in 1974.

Bob said he lost track of how many times visitors to the museum would come to him and say "Why don't you ___(fill in the blank _____)? Bob said he would ask them how much they were willing to contribute. No one ever did. He said they would leave probably on their way to Caboose Hobby Shop to buy model trains
