I remember that you once spoke of the extension to the Hotel in Como how there was no mention made of the kitchen when it was announced in the 'Flume?'

I am hoping that you might link me to that information please? Or somebody...

My research now explains why the kitchen was not described in the article that you read. The original extension to the hotel was actually to join the DSP&P hotel to the Gilman hotel. The kitchen extension was a different extension and as it happened, the depot was built against the DSP hotel at the time the two hotels were being connected together, 1881. The depot was then moved aside to build the kitchen extension, which seems to have been a seperate business in the beginning in any case.
