Guys !
For my futur Hon3 RGS layout (1941 era), I am thinking resurecting and upgrading two or three of the slide valves K27, considering it might have happened if the RFC loan was approved back in 1938 (sources : NGDF, RGS Story XII, ...)
I am in the planning stages of this, and would like to know if anyone has leads on what it costed the D&RGW to rebuild the K27 from slide to piston valves back in the 20’s !? I was unable to locate that information within NGDF files, or in the books I have...
I would try bending History to be somewhat realistic. I love the learning process of such researches and questions !
