Thanks Joshua. With family holiday photos, my dad's scenery to train ratio was unfortunately about 10:1, but 50 years later they're fun to see again.
And voila, when I rescanned the Durango station shot larger, I see green flags on 478, denoting a second section to follow. Also Earl, I see she has a brownish red number plate as well - you notice things I would for sure never have seen. The next two shots are the second section we rode, and give an idea of the consist at least looking that far ahead. By process of elimination, I gather 473 was the motive power.
