Thanks Phillip. Photos of the earliest narrow gauges are so rare, that I’m glad you enjoyed the new Central Valley shot. I’ll give your link a go and find out more about it. My favourite line here in Canada is/was our local Toronto Grey & Bruce. It was only narrow gauge for a decade, being standard gauged in 1881 (eventually becoming the Owen Sound and Teeswater branches of the Canadian Pacific). As a result there are precious few narrow gauge era photos, but miraculously a fantastic new one showed up about a year ago - from a fellow in Ohio no less. What a rush!
