Excellent pictures, especially the shot of the whole Delaware Car Works facility. The first common carrier narrow gauge was the Pittsburgh & Castle Shannon, a 40" gauge line that had origins back into the 1860's as a coal hauler. A number of other industrial narrow gauges in Pittsburgh were using steam power well before the 1870's.
