Hey don't sell yourself short. Its a great photo. I have seen this type of shot by several truly great railroad photographers. I am not 100% sure who they are, but am thinking Don Ball, and Philip Hastings were among them.
I remember seeing one shot as the engine was heading toward the camera and a huge plume of smoke.
While I realize it was a difficult shot to set-up due to the angle, I might suggest making it slightly better by rotating it slightly in photoshop! Not that its bad by any stretch. Just might improve it to make it better.
I don't have a caption so sorry about that! I did enjoy the shot though and the creative thinking.
