The first photo was taken in Alamosa the evening of March 4, 1962, prior to its departure the following morning for Chama. Jimmy Blouch has posted all the details of the trip just recently.
The second photo was taken in Antonito on the morning of March 5, 1962.

I believe the photos were actually taken by Jackson Thode.
