Hi, Ralph B. here. New member who has been following the Forum for a while now. I must say I'm REALLY impressed with the knowledge you folks have, and your willingness to share. I love the research, and two items back in July really stood out, specifically the threads on CR Lively and the "Bell Mystery". Also amazed at the restoration progress made on all fronts. Geez, two new tenwheelers hitting the road in Colorado next year, the fantanstic progess on the WW&F in Maine.... it goes from success to success.
So I'll start by adding my first wee item. For the life of me I can't find a previous post wondering about where one of the little 0-4-0T Porters got to that was up in the Yukon. So as a separate update, it's been bought privately and moved to the Ontario Steam Heritage Museum, located a little more than an hour west of Toronto, Ontario. Here's a shot of it just after it arrived, and one taken a couple days ago. The wheels have been sent off for work, and the bullet holes in the saddle tank add a little frontier flare.
I'll maybe do a post at some point about this museum and what it's up to. I also love when forum members post their old shots, and I gather others do as well. I'm an old geezer, so I'll dig stuff out like Edaville in 1958, Black Hills Central in 1961, Alamosa/Chama/Durango in 1963/66/69/72...... etc, etc
Cheers all,
