The ALCo-MLW locomotives have the ALCo tri-mount style truck. This has one pivot point and two sliding pads that share the weight. This makes it harder to turn and harder to move any part vertically in relation to the frame. Also harder to rerail.
In this photo of a WP&YR tri-mount truck frame, you can see the near pivot and farther away the two sliding pad locations.
