The arrangement of rods attached to the brake beam for the lead drivers looks a lot different from that in Dave's excellent model, which I presume is of a different K-27.

BTW, what scale is Dave's model? the work is certainly a lot cleaner than the HOn3 model of #461 that I got about 2/3 done back in 1973-74. (See [ngdiscussion.net] for photos.)
