Stewart, I'm happy that you have so many volunteers and that they "enjoy" hand spiking. As you can see from our pictures we can't get many volunteers because Como is so far away from everywhere! We had around 14 on Saturday and, because of the air spiker, we got a lot done. As you know the DSP&P and C&S never had any ballast so we don't have the tamping challenge you do. Also, as I have said before, you have the sea level oxygen that we don't. My friend and I will definitely be there for the February photo train. I am still hoping to show up this year if things work out. I would rather ride the trains for my first trip though!
