Here's another place to spend your money and time. If you are into old houses, then the easily the most stunning place I've ever been to is the Victoria Mansion in downtown Portland. It's an Italianate villa built mid-1800s by a shipping magnate, and it is being restored to its Victorian-era splendor, room by room.
