Vauclain Compounds

There was a question posted over on the Chaski board this weekend about Vauclain compounds. I gave something approaching an answer, but it brought up another question in my mind:
can someone give me a rundown on the details of the Mudhens' compound arrangement?
Were there four cylinders, or three? (I assume four.)
If three, was the oddball low- or high-pressure? (I assume low.)
Which axle did the inboard cylinder(s) crank?
Were the inboard valves operated by Stephenson gear, or something conjugated from a crankpin?
