D&RG 419 was a class 70 narrow gauge locomotive built in 1887
It became D&RGW 304 class c-17 in 1924, and was scrapped in Nov 1934.
The info about the photo from the DPL site says the photo was taken in Lake County, Colorado.
If the information is accurate, then the photo had to have been take between 1887 and 1890.
The Tennessee Pass route went through Lake county, build in 1880 and converted to standard gauge in 1890
We see ng loco 419 in lake county, in the winter, it must have been the winter of 1887, 1888 or 1889.
