Smitty;
I'm happy you've liked these posts. The reason I do these travelogues of railroads is for people who cannot make it to see it themselves and to show everyone what an interesting railroad Madera Sugar Pine was. The fires of 2017 & 2018 burned large areas of the right of way and allowed you to see so much more of what is still there. It is unfortunate that someone took my postings for their own personal gain. I'll keep posting my explorations, but the best artifacts will not be covered in a way that makes them easily collected by someone else.
For example, I found this neat artifact somewhere along the 20 miles of railroad grade I explored on Wednesday:
It was not readily visible and I just happened to be looking the right direction to spot it.
Neat stuff is still out there, and I hope some of it will continue to be out there for some time...
