I visited the old narrow-gauge depot on the road to Old La Veta Pass, close to La Veta, CO. Only to find out that there was a standard gauge station 7 miles south on the line from Alamosa to La Veta. Does anyone know exactly where this is located? And I have a reference to the town of Bernice which may be the location, but that name may have dissolved in 1902.
