In, I think 1992, Russ and Marty Fischer, along with my Dad and I, drove my '90 Ford F250 all the way to the end of the ROW on Mt. McClellan. Lots of old ties were scattered down slope off the ROW, and we were amazed at the amount of scratching in the earth that had been done at that altitude all those years ago. While we were parked up there nosing around, three people scrambled over the edge from the west face of the mountain. The first one up saw me and hollered back to his climbing partners "hey, there's somebody up here!" Then when he got to where he could see the truck, he was even more incredulous. They we told him that was nothin', they used to run trains up here! I don't think they believed that. I'm sure when they started climbing that morning, they never thought they would find a truck at the top of the mountain. eye popping smiley
