bill i would go with 250 to 300 lbs after horsing that piece of equipment around to get the holes on the plate to line up with the bolts attached to the frame of the car.

if you don't have a fork lift to assist in the lift, a car transmission jack works well too. you sure don't want to be laying under a car trying to lift one of those things in to position using the armstrong method.
