The line features a number of tunnels and stone bridges such as this bridge on the south side of the pass.

The engines really had their work cut out for them on the north side of the pass, dragging loaded ore cars to the summit on the 7.1 percent grade.

On Praebichl pass there was a small yard where loaded and empty trains could be staged and engines could be switched out for doubling the hill
