Yesterday we did our first real work with the J&L 58 as we used her to power a work train moving topsoil from the site of the new enginehouse to the sides of the fill at the front of the property. The locomotive worked great, however the dump car had a few premature dumping incidents until I made some adjustments to the latch. Using the dump car was really the only way to get the dirt along the banks of the fill.
