Thanks to all for the updates, even if they are on Facebook and all I get is "This page isn't available"

Facebook is so full of deaths, births, and political hate that I visit it infrequently.

It is a shame that some groups locate on Facebook Groups, instead of friendlier group hosts, and thus
drown in the sea of non-stop messages unrelated to railfanning.

When I am registered/logged on with Facebook and get the message "This page isn't available" I realize that I'm not wanted
on that Facebook group, and take the hint.

Before I posted, I visited the web pages of C&C and D&S, looking for updates and didn't find anything for June.
It may have just been a case of an old cookie from the previous month not being refreshed by Chrome or Firefox.
Wouldn't be the first time that a current page was not displayed.

Still, the news is encouraging, and it appears that perhaps #18 has performed, or is ready, for work train duty.

FWIW One of my greatest railfanning memories was riding behind a K in a wooden coach with wicker seats for two solid days on the North Island.
