After the 315 roundtrip to Antonito on Saturday and Sunday of opening weekend, I decided to go to Ridgway the long way because of the snow storm on Red Mountain Pass. In the early afternoon on Monday I passed a freight north of La Jara. The northbound freight had 18 covered hoppers. The train was stationary, with engines idling, and no one in attendance (it was Memorial Day after all), so there appeared to some revenue activity at least on the Antonito branch.
