Yes sir we are happy to have our little ten wheeler home again. She actually arrived Monday morning, and we unloaded her today. Work started at 7am. Our track crew spent a few hours cutting and raising the parking lot track to meet with our ramp track. We do not have point rails yet so this was the safest way to unload 20. It worked perfectly, the track was very stable as 20 rolled of the trailer and onto our rails.
She went into stall 2 shortly after and her number plate was installed soon after, then we took a step back to admire the 4 engines in our shop. Yes 4 engines, 491,20,346, and 318.(318 is getting cab repairs) Now we will begin our portion of the restoration and bring it to conclusion. Much work still lies ahead, so stay tuned for future updates.
The public will be able o view 20 Tuesday trough Saturday unless we are having an event then she can be seen on Sundays as well. She will also be pulled out of the shop for display and photo opportunities during our 60th anniversary. Please come on out and see her for yourself.
