This may seem like blasphemy, but I'm curious about the use of roller bearings on today's narrow gauge railroads.
I know the White Pass & Yukon Route used roller bearings but they were also made it into the modern era with diesels and containerized freight. When my family and I rode the White Pass nine years ago, the passenger coaches all had roller bearings.
I'm curious as the rolling stock of the D&SNG ages decades beyond its intended lifespan, has the D&S considered going to roller bearings as the trucks in use end their useful lifespans?
The same would seem to apply to the C&TS as their coaches are not "prototypical" to the Rio Grande, only the C&TS.
Are there any other narrow gauge lines in operation in North America using roller bearings?
