I am certainly willing to HELP with this to some extent -
However, it should be noted much of what is suggested above was already done during the 40th Anniversary Celebration in late August 2010, and was recorded for posterity by Steve Forney et al. Steve has made all his files available on-line — see the first link on [
ngdiscussion.net]. Also, some of the 2010 participants are, sadly, no longer available. (One of the main reasons the 2010 gathering was held, and as many of the 1970 participants invited as could be located – rather than waiting 'til 2020 for the "Golden" 50th – was the increasing age of those who were involved in the earliest days of the C&TS and our concern that many of us would not be able to attend if we waited another ten years.) IMHO, rather than looking back 2020 should celebrate the history of the RR mainly in the light of the incredible progress that has been made and looking forward to the next 50 years.

p.s. Rich Braden (employee2) has FAR more knowledge of the early days of the C&TS than I do, and should have a major role in any discussions of the railroad's history. I was a casual and part-time observer, Rich was a key player.
