This is a little late, but attended the "Golden Spike" ceremony at the Ridgway Museum on Saurday the 11th. There is a 2,700 foot loop of mainline. You can see the entire loop from almost any spot. Great train shed with several cars underneath including restored RGS coach 252 that used to sit at Trout Lake and was owned by Karl Schaeffers folks.
. The Ridgway RGS depot is located next to the track.Motor #1 gave rides and it had an RGS moment, an axle broke. No problem, Karl has a few spares This is a great facility. The Ridgway crew has accomplished wonders. Don't miss this There is a 4-4-0 due later. In October Geese #4 and #5 (and maybe another one) will run at the Ridgway site.As the saying goes, the chickens (Geese) have come home to roost..
