Hi Rick,

You are probably right but I guess the White Pass was more concerned about moving war materials during WW2 then they were with creating a good looking locomotive. But the mount has worked for nearly 80 years.

Personally, I would rather put the headlight back on top of the smokebox where it was when she was built.
