J&L 58 Now Fully Assembled -Running Next Two Weekends

Jones & Laughlin Steel 58, our 24" gauge Porter 0-4-0T will be running for the public for the first time on May 11 and 12. We will be doing a test firing on May 4. Today we reunited the saddle tank with the rest of the locomotive, an event a long time in the making. Next comes finish painting, some more pipefitting and taking care of some final details. After four and a half years of work, this very heavy and powerful Locomotive is now ready to be put to work.
