Re: SP 18 Video

The tank gets its water from Hermosa Creek. Since the 416 fire last summer, the creek has been full of mud, tree branches, etc. It tends to clog the valves and the guys have to go up to clear it. I also think they are checking the water in the tank to see how much is in it. The junk in the creek has been keeping the tank from filling completely. On the 9th, there was not enough water in the tank for SP18, so they had to backup to the bridge and take water directly from the creek with a hose The shop did not really want to do that, but they would not have had enough water to get to tank creek. As it turns out, the piston and cylinder head broke so they never made it that far.
