Re Earl's comment about a rock jamming and stopping the rotary wheel, it seems amazing that the rotary apparently survived such a traumatic incident without damage. One tough machine. I noticed, back in 1993, that the area below Windy Point generated a fair amount of rock fall on top of the snow, with more likely inside the snow drift. I suppose that smaller rocks just get thrown out by the rotary blades without any noticeable impact, or do you get loud bang's in the chute with a more sizeable rock?
