Here are a couple of photos of the Mysore Iron and Steel Works mike, from Fred Westing's "The Locomotives Baldwin built". It is interesting to compare this engine with Sandy River engine 23.
The Mysore engine weighed 66,800 lbs compared to 63,000 lbs for engine 23, not a great difference. The tenders of both engines carried 3 tons of coal, while the Mysore tender carried significantly more water -- 3,000 gallons vs 2,000 gallons. I suspect this engine would have been a great freight hauler on the Sandy River.
A cab view of the Mysore engine.
