Sand drying equipment at Durango?

I'm not a modeler, but as a onetime classified laborer who ran a sandhouse (St. Albans, VT), I'm interested in what kind of sand dryer was in the Durango sandhouse and how it was operated. Anyone have photos or explanation? The one I operated was a diesel-era contraption set up somewhat like a miniature cement kiln, fired with diesel fuel, later replaced with a sandblast-type pot that exhausted air to suck sand out of a covered hopper, then reverse the process and blow it up into the tower.
