Another search tip, which I meant to post yesterday but the mail came and I had errands to run, each abandonment report start with a summary which invariable contains a line of the form "...abandonment by the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad Company of a branch line of railroad in Archuleta County, Colo.".
That example is from the report on the Pagaosa Springs branch, important bit is that it always includes the name of the county(ies) involved. It's not always there on some of the rehearing ones, but if a decision was made, pro or con, it's there.
