In addition to the six class 70 engines the D&RG swaped from 3' to 4'8.5" (late 1880's) and then back again (ca 1900), the RGW had 10-15 3' engines they converted to std ga in the 1890's(included at least 2 Class 56, up to 10 Class 60 and an ex DC 4-6-0 that was probably a cousin to RGS 1st #25) 1890 and two heavier engines that had been converted before they became RGW (ex UC, IIRC). the two heavier engines were changed back to 3' by D&RG in 1917 and wound up in Class C-17 eventually (305, 306). One of the RGS class 60 conversions (ex-D&RG 275, RGW 275, 101, 11) was still around when the 1908 consolidation occurred, becoming D&RG 553, and was not scrapped until 1924! It even was included in the 1924 renumbering, emerging as C-14 #290. Boy would I love to see a picture of that, assuming the number was ever actually applied.
