Two of the extant Great Western Sugar Davenports, at Ovid, CO and Bayard, NE were said to be built as 36" gauge. Some close-up photos might reveal how the conversion was done. I wonder if they got a whole new saddle or perhaps ported spacers between the saddle and cylinders?
