Actually I think Victor continued west because I seem to remember a photograph he took of the train with the big pipe on the curve at Los Pinos, which apparently they got there while it was still light. The westbounds I chased always got there after dark. I'm going from distant memory, so I might have things mixed up (which would not be a first for me).
