Bob Richardson once said that he saw a EBT Standard Gauge switch in the shop at Orbisonia and asked how they did that. He said they told him they had a set of wheel under a long I beam that was put under the locomotive after it was jacked up. He attempted to locate that frame but never found it to photograph.. Asked how the movement happened and was answered "very slowly".
For those who never saw the TRAIN & TRAVEL Magazine story on the EBT railroad, their track was slag ballasted with long SG ties and very good between Mt. Union and Orbisonia.
